Can't open my file

I created a document with about 90 pages with material for this past year
that needs to be mailed out this week. I saved the document for 2007, as I
use this file year after year. When I tried to open the new document, I get
an error message that "Publisher cannot open the file." I tried opening my
old file and got the same message. How can I get the file to open? I'M
DESPERATE!!!

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm running Publisher 2002. The file is on my
hard drive. I use AVG Free virus, not Norton. I think the header might be
corrupted, but how to open it...

Thanks anyway.

Just for future inquiries, I tried to open the file I had created last year
and I got the same error message. I was suspicious. I re-ran my installation
asking it to correct any problems. It ran through the process stating that
the errors in the program had been fixed. It still would not open my files.

So I un-installed Publisher completely, then re-installed it.

I was just able to open the files without any additional problems.
Apparently, Publisher itself became corrupted beyond repair and had to be
un-installed and re-installed.

Thanks for those who tried to help, and especially Don Schmidt.
