Can't save a WORD document

Hi,

On a Gateway 667 MHz, under XP pro I can't save a certain
WORD document files. I'm getting a message:
"The disk is full or too many files are open"

The disk has a free 2 Gb; The RAM is not small either - 500Mb.
Files - only MS WORD is running with one open file.

The file is not very large - 2.2 Mb
(I can save other WORD files, they all much smaller)

Any advice?
Thanks,
Uzi

Sometimes documents can become corrupt and will not save. Have you
tried copying and pasting the content into a blank document and saving
that? When you copy the content do not include the last paragraph mark
in the selection. To see paragraph marks switch show/hide on.

Thanks, Lynn.

This file was created on another computer.
(Dell XP personal, P4-1.8G, Office XP)
On the original machine - it saves.

On the Gateway (office 2000) - it will not (as reported)
Copying the document into a blank one did not work.
I even copies part of it ( skipping, at least, the last 10 pages)
does not work.

Trying another machine - Dell Win98, P3-550M, Office 2000
It will not work (save) either.
