Can't see pictures in Excel / Word

When I open Excel or Word documents with pictures in them I can't see them.
Also when I copy / paste a picture into a document I only see the picture
border and a small box with a red cross in it.

The only way to see those pictures is in Web page preview or going into
bitmap image object and selecting edit, but when done the image is gone again.

In options / view / picture placeholders is unchecked, drawings is checked.

So can you see the pictures in Publisher?
Have you checked out your graphics card driver?

Office products.

Can't see the pictures in Publisher either.
Turned down the hardware acceleration almost completely but no difference.

Problem with my graphics card it's a special one (5MP2FH) designed for
displaying mammography pictures and it's the latest driver available.

I would think your best solution would be to go to the web site of your card and
find some support.

Can you see images in other products not related to Office?

Video card driver is the latest version.

Yes other non Office programs are working fine, the only Office product
which has no problem displaying pictures is Outlook.

My advice is the same as the message above, contact your vendor, they may have
some suggestions.

Are you embedding the images? Linking?
When you try to insert a picture as a linked embedded object in an Office 2003
or 2007 Office program, the picture is not inserted
