cd id number

I want to reinstall Microsoft Office 97 but don't have the
cd id number. I've gone to the customer service page and
imput the product id number with no luck. How can I get
customer service on this question.

open any office 97 application and go to 'help' then
choose about [application}. it should give you the product
id there.

He has the Product ID - he needs the installation ID which is not the same
thing at all.

He should contact his system vendor if Office was preinstalled or his MS
subsidiary if retail - though I believe that no-charge support has ceased.

To obtain a replacement CD-ROM or manual, contact Microsoft Supplemental and
Replacement Parts at (800) 360-7561; Microsoft may ask you to fax a copy of
the store receipt.

If you received Office preinstalled or distributed by an OEM, you must
contact the OEM for a replacement.

If you acquired Office through the Volume Licensing program (including an
Open License or a Select License), contact the Microsoft Worldwide
Fulfillment Office at (800) 248-0655. Learn more about how to replace lost,
