Change the order in the Open File list

When you go to Open a File in Word, or any other Office program, my computer
seems to go to the (folder) at the end of the list. Is it possible to change
it so that it lists the folders at the beginning of the list? I can't even
see the folders I want to use because there are so many folders - the
beginning ones don't show until I scroll to the beginning.

Thanks!

In Office 2000 it isn't the folder that is being selected, the
application is attempting to find the first file available for opening
in the list so it scrolls to end of the list of folders. Unfortunately
there really isn't a way to modify this behavior. :-(

Now, you can always upgrade to at least Office XP. It was in that
version they finally changed this behavior.

Thank you so much Beth! I finally have an answer. I've been trying to find
out if I could change this for a very long time. Maybe it's time to upgrade!
