Change Working Time - Grayed Out, Standard Calender

R

Rob

All, when I open a project of my, then go to Tools --> Change Working Time,
if I select a date and go to non-working time, that option is greyed out. I
noticed this is on the standard project calender. How do I modify project so
that I can change the non-working time on the standard calender?

Thanks for your help.

The default settings in Project Server 2007 do not allow project managers to
create their own custom calendars or to edit the enterprise Standard
calendar. Assuming that you are the Project Server administrator, you must
do the following to edit the enterprise Standard calendar:

1. Log into PWA with administrator permissions.
2. Click Server Settings - Enterprise Calendars.
3. Select the Standard calendar and then click the Edit Calendar button.

The system will launch Project Professional 2007 and open the Standard
calendar for editing. Add your company holidays to the calendar as
nonworking time instances and then click the OK button when finished. Hope
this helps.

No, you should have told us what version of Project Server you were using.
My bad for not asking. I apologize. Before you can edit the enterprise
Standard calendar in Project Server 2003, you need to open the Enterprise
Global file for editing. Click Tools - Enterprise Options - Open Enterprise
Global. Then click Tools - Change Working Time and you can then edit the
enterprise Standard calendar. Do know, however, that you must be a Project
Server administrator to open the Enterprise Global file. Hope this helps.
