Changing content of inserted tasks into reports

J

Jennifer

Hello,
I am sure this has been asked before, but I just can't find anything yet.

When inserting tasks into a status report, only the task name is inserted.
So, is there a setting somewhere or can I modify code somewhere to have it
insert due date and number of hours it takes to complete the tasks? If not,
what else can be done?

Thank you,
Jennifer

From the lack of responses you are getting from other members of the group,
I would suspect that what you want to do cannot be done, or is not worth the
time spent trying to do it. Are you able to live with the Status Reports as
they currently exist? Hope this helps, even if it is not what you wanted to
hear.

There is a workaround for this. After clicking the insert tasks from time
sheet button, instead of using the checkboxes to select the tasks, highlight
the tasks by row, then use CTRL+C to copy and CTRL+V to paste. You can get
all the data on either side of the grid this way.

Thanks for the responses.

I will let people know about the copy and paste. I suppose that's even
better than having to type everything out like we are doing now (but not
using Project Server yet - working up to that), seems like more
functionality should be present for inserting project information into the
reports.

Thanks again!
