Chart trouble!

While I am editing my chart within a document in word it looks different from
when I return to the rest of the document to edit other things. Why does it
change and more importantly, how can I keep the 'editing' view?

Sorry should have mentioned that!

The fonts all look much narrower as if they have been squeezed in.......i
think the actual chart is the same size but the labels get compressed for
some reason

Is the chart in a paragraph with indents?
