Conditional Formatting

Steve

Hi, I have a column which has entries such as the following which are
the result of a formula

1-1
1-2
2-3
1-10
1-11
1-12
12-1

I am trying to conditionally format the cell background as green only
when the specific text is 1-1. However, when using this option it is
also picking up the 11-1, 1-10, 1-11 eentries etc as well and
formatting the cell background as green. Is there any way I can be
more specific so that only 1-1 is highlighted?

Thanks

Steve

AFAIK the column is H. Select your column => Conditional Formatting =>
Formula and the formula:
=H1="1-1"

=H1="1-1"

Hi Claus, hope your well and thanks for the quick repsonse as always.

The column is M but when i enter the above as a value substituting H1
for M2 (the first cell value) i get nothing highlighted !

I have the CF Specific Text containgin 1-1 hence it picks up 11-1,
10-1 etc but I cant seem to find a away around it !!

Thanks

Steve

with text containing everything what looks like 1-1 will be highlighted.

for the workbook "Steve". There's column H formatted, but you see how it
works.
