continuous tasks

I would like to implement tasks which occur regularly without any end date;
i.e. a meeting at 5 to 6 everyday. I suppose I can set these times as
non-working, but I assume that there is a better way to do this.

Patrick,
I suggest you look at a recurring task. Go to Insert/Recurring Task and
set up the meetings in the desired recurring pattern. I assume that
"without any end date" simply means that the meetings will occur
throughout the whole project but in fact cease when the project is
completed. So there is an end date.

Why would you want to set up the meetings as non-working? Unless it's a
machine meeting, (never heard of one but who knows), people will attend
the meeting and accrue chargeable time to the meeting. If not, then why
show the meetings at all - they are not relevant to the project.

Hope this helps.

Hi John,

Thanks to you and other mates for all your time and efforts to answer all of
our querries.

In case I want the recurring tasks to fall on non-working days, what can I
do? MSP does not allow so and it will schedule task to the next working day.
I have to apply a separate calendar for this recurring task?

Regards,
Sondin

Hi,

Yes, you have.
A task calendar will override the project calendar.
Don't forget to set the task calendar to the detailed tasks, not to the
recurring task itself.
