Converting MS Works files

I bought a new computer with Word on it. Is there a way to copy my MS Works document files into word so I don't have to recreate them?

Copy the files using normal procedures ... via floppy disk, cd, network,
or transfer via email.

These files *should* open ok in Word ... ensure you have installed the
input filters for Works.

What are input filters for works?

By recollection (I dont 'have my Word CD handy to check) during the
installation you can specify what file format filters to include. In my
install I picked everything and it will read/write most versions of
Works file.

First, simply try opening the files to see if they open up. If install,
Word should pick the right filter if installed, I believe.

If not work, did out the Word/Office CD and look for these as install
optoins.
