Hello Daniele,

Only information added to custom resource fields will be visible in
the Resource Remaining Work visual report, so any data added in a
task view or assignment view will not be visible. However
information added to a resource field is available in that report.

Once you've created the report with your steps below, click on the
Resource Summary tab in the workbook to show the pivot table. Click
on any one of the resources, click your secondary mouse button and
select "Show Properties in Report > and select Text1 from the list.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Thanks for your post JulieS, found it very useful with a problem i am
having, however the user is still not happy as they are unable to view
the data they require.

I can see the resource name and the properties of it, but is it not
possible to create a table using one of the properties?

We have the custom fields added to the resource which are Grade and
location, and the user would like to be able to pivot using this and not
just the resouce name with the properties of the grade and location, is
this possible in project 2007?

When playing with custom fields in Visual Reports, I've found it's sometimes
easier to just export to Excel using a defined map, then create your pivot
tables there - using either manual steps, or some sort of Macro.

To export to Excel from MPP, just hit File > Save As, and select Excel -
that should kick off the Export Wizard.

Thanks for your reply, i will try it, there must be a way tho to use the
properties of the resource to do a search
