Custom View based on Custom Form

I have created a number of Enterprise custom fields that are available
in the Task Sheet view. I would like to make them available in the Task
Form View to simplify the creation and editing of tasks. I believe that
the Task Form view is not editable to this extent, so was wondering if
it is possible to create a new form with the fields I desire and use
this form as the basis for a new view (and if so, how would I go about
doing so)?

If this is not possible, is there anything else I can do that might
produce a similar outcome?
