DELL laptop computer keyboard suddenly stopped working. Help?

the keyboard on my DELL Inspiron laptop stopped working while I was in the
middle of writing an email. The mouse pad still functions, and I can use an
external keyboard. Any suggestions as to how to fix this?

computer use NG or contact Dell. Or check the cable on your keyboard.
