Well, I have the subweb built, etc and have that part.

What i want to do is make it so people have to login to the website to post.

Does anyone have a script for this?

Thanks

See http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;825451
Your host will have to support subwebs and unique permissions under the FP Server Extensions

Ok, Lets see if i can get this straight :)

I have my root...

I have my subweb...

I have the reg form in the root. Once someone registers in the root, then
they can have access to the subweb, or subwebs...

To try and get a file structure (that is of course not including the
extensions stuff) we have this..

../
webreg.htm
./forum
index.html ( and in this we make our discussion groups, etc..
./membersonly
index.html (and what ever we want here)
..
..
..
etc..

Then we must manange the User Permission on the sub to allow the root in
once accepted.. How?

lol Thanks in advance

If you are using the registration feature, which you seem to indicate, it
does not operate on Windows servers..UNIX flavors only.

yes, i am on unix, just wondering if im right with the structure above and if
it is possible to have a discussion group with a user registration and only
registered users access. Then beyond that, what code do i need to have it
work?

My apologies. I thought I was in the Windows Extensions Group when I
replied.

If using the self registration form (in the root) assign permissions on the subweb as register users
- and follow the instructions on the self registration template page to control your subweb ( either /forum or
/membersonly - not both from one self registration form)
