Document Disappeared - Changes not saved?

I had a document up that I was editing. I left it open while I was
working on another item and then got pulled away for a meeting. When I
came back and unlocked my PC, I noticed the document was closed. I
went to where I had pulled the original off of the network and opened
it but my changes were not there. Is there any where on my local PC
where the document might be save, a temp file perhaps?

If the document has been closed without saving it then the changes are lost.
You need to get into the habit of using CTRL+S every time you stop to
think - and certainly before you leave the machine to go to a meeting.
