"Document is not available" error

I recently installed Office XP 2003 onto my computer, overriding the existing
office 2000. Now, after typing a huge paper for a class of course, when I go
to retrieve a document or try to open one, I get this error that pops up
saying, "The document __________ is not available." This is frustrating as I
must turn it in soon. Why does this show up? Any ideas? Any input would be
greatly appreciated. God Bless
