Duration total changes when combine multiple projects

I have 3 separate projects that I have combine to show in a summary Gantt,
but the duration days for each of the projects do not match the actual
duration days for the individual projects themselves. The start and finish
dates have remained the same. They are all on standard calendars and I added
all 3 projects at the same time. Any suggestions?

Thanks ahead of time!

talltrouble,
OK, we have some terminology issues here. When you say "combine to show
in a summary Gantt", what exactly do you mean? Did you dynamically
consolidate the 3 project files into a master? Or something else?

Which duration days do not match? Be aware that there is a Duration
field and an Actual Duration field - they are not the same.

Start and finish dates of what have remained the same?

More questions than answers I'm afraid. The more info you provide the
better we can help you.

By the way, what version of Project are you using?

John,
Sorry for the delay - Network crash and subsequent struggles have forced my
Project struggles down the priority pole....

As for your questions....Project 2007, consolidated dynamically, and it's
the Duration field, not the actual duration (I double checked just to make
sure)...

And while I have your ear....When I insert a sub-schedule into an existing
schedule, it appears and prints fine in the Gantt view, and appears on the
Calendar view, but will not print in the calendar view and I have been unable
to figure that out as well.

Help! And thank you for taking the time to read my question.....

talltrouble,
Now that you clarified it is the Duration field, what exactly so you
believe is not correct? Do you have calculation,
(Tools/Options/Calculation tab), set for automatic?

WIth regard to printing the Calendar view I never use the Calendar view
and have never tried to print it. You might want to go to our MVP
website at, http://project.mvps.org/faqs, and take a look at FAQ 44 -
Printing Problems. Also make sure your printer driver is the most
current and/or try a different printer. What happens if you select Print
Preview for the Calendar view?
