email alerts for issues

We are using the Project 2003 functionality to log issues during a go-live.
Is there any way to create selective alerts for updates to issues? That is,
our users want to be notified when "their" issue is updated (but not when all
issues are updated). I know how to set these up for tasks and status
reports, because the alerts go to the resources associated with the task (or
report). How can this be done for Issues?

Anyone with an interest in getting e-mails about changes to the Issue can do
the following:

1. Navigate to the Issues page for the project.
2. Float the mouse pointer over the name of the Issue until the pick list
arrow button appears.
3. Click the pick list arrow button and select the "Alert Me" item on the
list.
4. On the New Alert page, select the Alert Frequency option and then click
the OK button.
