Entering a milestone

HI: I am very new to project, when I enter a milestone with a duration of
"0", on the gnatt it displays the diamond shape for the milestone with a
reference of 1/2.

What does the 1/2 indicate, I can not locate a reference regarding it.

Vanita is correct - if you go to Format Barstyles and click on milestones you
can change the information shown against the milestone via the text tab. You
can also change the date style via Format Layout and change the date format.
