We cannot email an InfoPath form that has a “File Attachment†control using
Forms Services. The InfoPath template uses a submit button to email the form.
We receive a parse error when opening the email. The error appears to relate
to the base64 encoding of the attachment in the XML file.
However, if we open the form template with the InfoPath client, attach a
file and click the submit button, the form is emailed to the recipients
without any errors. The file attachment can be opened.
Is this not supported by Forms Services? It’s not mention on
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/infopath/HA102105871033.aspx.
One interesting note, if we save the form to a SharePoint Form Library we
can open the form in both the browser and the InfoPath client without any
error. But email send from the browser base form with not work.
Thanks in advance for any help.
