Excel 97 AutoSave File Location

Hi guys,

when AutoSave is enabled in Excel 97, what's the default location where the
files are being saved ? and what's the file extension (.bak, .xls, etc) ?

Autosave just saves the file. The location is the location of the file that
just got saved.

The name of this file is your workbook's name--.xls.

There is an option under File|saveAs to always create backups. That extension
is .xlk. (I got it right this time!)

But the file also gets renamed. It might look like: "Backup of book1.xlk"
