Favorites keep removing

When I save a document, I go to Save As, Tools , Add to my favorites.
I have over 20 Documents listed in Favourites for both excel and word. They
keep disappearing. This happens every few months. Any Ideas.

You should be saving your documents to the "My Documents"
folder and not Favorites. Favorites are used for web page links
when you use Internet Explorer.

I save the document locally and then save in My Favorites as a short cut.
