I create a Workspace and create a "Files" tool in it and I add a file to to
Workspace ... a big one, 170 MB so it is easy to spot. The file name is for
instance "abc.zip"
When I do it - I can see that Groove creates a big file (pretty close in
size to 170 MB) in the folder as below :
C:\Documents and Settings\user001\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Office\Groove\System\Groovebinaryfilestore.xss_
The created file has a numeric name "15" ... I guess this is an encrypted,
Groove readable, copy of my "abc.zip".
Now I go to my Worksapce and delete the "abc.zip" file .... the file is gone
and Workspace "File" tool shows that there is nothing there.
But strangely enough - a 170 MB file with name "15" still remains in
C:\Documents and Settings\user001\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Office\Groove\System\Groovebinaryfilestore.xss_
....I removed the file from the Workspace - but Groove 2007 still keeps its
encrypted copy (!)
The more files I add to the Workspace - the files piles up in my
C:\Documents and Settings\user001\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Office\Groove\System\Groovebinaryfilestore.xss_ folder.
Deleting files from workspeace - does not reomve them from that folder !
Why Groove 2007 keeps those deleted files ?
How does one get rid of those already deleted files ?
Manual deleting is not really an option.
With busy Worksapces - once can quickly end up with space on C: drive
quickly consumed.
Am I missing something ?
