Perhaps try Saving it as a PDF instead of Publish.
You can send it to me at: robosama at gmail dot com - in the subject line
put PUBLISHER PROBLEM.

| Well, I can. And I wish I couldn't.
|
| I am not doing anything with HTML files and I am not trying to go from PDF
| to HTML. It's simply that I noticed Publisher 2000 doing the same thing
to
| PUB files when you tried to publish a webpage as Publisher 2007 is doing
to
| PUB files when I publish to PDF. That is what I was saying.
|
| What I am trying to do is create a PDF file AND keep my original PUB file
| intact as two different documents. Some of my readers can open PUB files,
| but some can't so I offer them PDF files instead. I need to BOTH files to
| work, but every time I create a PDF file, the original PUB file is
| mysteriously changed.
|
| I will gladly send you the PUB file that results after I 'publish to PDF
or
| XPS' - you can see for yourself what I mean. I would love for someone to
be
| able to tell me what about my proceedure, outlined above, is causing it to
do
| this. You may not be able to duplicate it, but I have - on two different
| computers and on two different OSs and two different versions of Office.
|
| At this point it seems the only option I have is to save a backup copy of
| the PUB file before I try to publish it to PDF because I know that the
| process of publishing that PDF will change the PUB file. It's not a
| hardship, as long as I remember to do it, but it does bug me that this
fancy
| new program has the same glitch I reported in the old version.
