Filter or Report Summary & Sub Tasks

Hello,

I would like to display a filter view or report that shows a summary task
and all sub-tasks beneath the summary. If I try filtering on the task name
(Name field), all tasks in the project are displayed for selection, and
selecting the summary task only shows the summary task and not it's subtasks.

I currently track 4 software products with projects or tasks associated with
each inn a Master project file. I'd like to filter on the summary task in
the project for one product and have only projects and tasks associated with
that product display.

Is this possible?

Reads like you need to add a custom field into which you copy the product
name. Filter on the custom field and you should get what you want.

In project select a field you have just entered a value into, then hold the
Ctrl key down and select other fields to copy to. Ctrl+D for fill down then
does a bulk copy.
