FrontPage Reports Gone!

G

Greg

All of my reports are gone! My Site Summary lists 0 for
all Counts and Sizes when I open my Web Site on FP02. My
Navigation page lists a 'new link bar' that I worked on,
but never published. My Folders states that there are no
folders, my Hyperlink lists no hyperlinks, and there are
no tasks listed.

However, when I open a web page, details on the Site
Summary begin to fill in for that page, but only for that
page. But when i then close FP and reopen it, they all
go back to 0. Another thing that I noticed is that after
I open my Index.html page on Frontpage and then try to
look at Reports, FrontPage goes into 'Not Responding"
mode.

I may have messed up my structure of Site Builder. Are
there any pros out there who could help a novice with
step by step repair intstructions!

Double "thanks" in advance!

Choose Recalculate Hyperlinks from the Tools menu.

Jim, thanks for the advice, but this did not change any
of my reports...

Any other suggestions

Any other suggestions

1. Open your root Web.
2. Choose Server from the Tools menu, and then click
Administration Home.
3. Under Server Health, click Check Server Health.
4. Select all the check boxes and then click OK.

If that doesn't do it, remove and reinstall the FrontPage
Server Extensions. Your host may have links on their support
pages for doing this; otherwise, you'll need to contact them
for assistance.

I don't think it's SE related
In the 1st post he mentions messing up the structure in Site Builder
- sounds more like he has used a 3rd party tool to manipulate the pages of a site and in the process deleted all or some of the FP
meta files
- so to FP it is just a collection of pages, not a site

100% agreed. I was trying to find a way to rebuilt the FP Web info.
Recalculate Hyperlinks didn't work, so trying Server Health or an FPSE
reinstall seemed like the next step.
