Grahpic gets distorted when I convert a publisher document to a PD

I have a .png graphic in a document that keeps getting distorted when I
convert the document to a PDF via adobe acrobat. It actually does it for any
PDF converter that I've tried. The document has other graphics that are not
distorted and they don't seem any different then this one.

I've tried just placing the graphic in a blank publication and it still does
it. the graphic has transparency and I'm wondering if that is the problem.
The only thing I don't understand is why the other graphics that have
transparency don't have any problems getting converted. If I pull a stock
image from clip art and place it, it converts fine.

What is wrong?

I take it from that that you are not cropping the image within Publisher?

Publisher has never liked transparent PNGs terribly much (especially
semitransparent PNGs).

Where did this PNG file come from? Do you have other similar files from
the same source?
