How do I find my files?

I recently bought a new computer and had my old hard drive installed as the D
drive, believing that it would be a simple way to transfer my old files to
the new drive as time allowed. It's been a good solution, except for my
Office 2003 files. I couldn't get the Import/Export function to work from one
drive to the other. Is there any other way to get my files moved over? I'm
especially missing Tasks, but, of course, hope for Contacts and Email
folders, as well! As it is, I don't even know how to view these files on the
D drive, so all my data is lost to me for now. Thanks for any help you can
provide!

Hi, KLW,

I think you're just talking about Outlook, right? Outlook stores its data
in the outlook.pst file, by default. You could try to use File | Open |
Outlook Data File, then browse to the location of the file and open it. You
can then see all those items in your Outlook bar. You can then move them
from the old Outlook folders into the new Outlook folders.

Thanks for your help on this, Susan. Once I understood these were called .pst
files, I was able to do the Import properly. Who knows what I called them the
first time I tried! Anyway, it's a wonderful thing to have all my stuff back.
Thanks again.
