How do I get on-going tasks to appear in a date range filter?

I want to print out a short-term schedule and when I filter for a date range
the ongoing tasks don't appear. It seems like I need an OR condition. Any
suggestions?

KimC,
I assume then that the on-going tasks are NOT in the date range you
select. In that case go to Project/Filtered for/More filters and select
the Date Range... filter. Hit "edit". Structure the existing filter as
follows:
And/Or Field Name Test Value
Finish is greater... "Show tasks ..."
And Start is less.... "And before..."
Or
% Complete is less than 100

Note that the "Or" is on a filter line by itself and it will be in bold
font when you enter the next line of the filter.

Hope this helps.

Maybe I wasn't clear, I want all tasks that are to start or end in the date
range, but I also want the tasks that had already started AND will not finish
to show up also.

i.e. task1: start = 10/1/06 finish = 12/31/06
task2: start= 10/5/06 finish=10/20/06
if my date range is 10/15/06-10/31/06, task one will not be displayed, even
though work should be done in the time period

KimC,
I guess I don't yet understand what you want. If I take your example and
use the filter I suggested, both tasks show up when the filter is
applied. What am I missing.
