how do I know what processes to end in task manager

You don't end them.. they were most likely present when your computer was
running ok, so are not likely to be the cause of any slowing down now..

If you have a problem with your computer slowing up, repost in a more
appropriate newsgroup..

If you're suspicious of a particular process, look it up via a search
engine. And get Process Explorer
http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/ProcessExplorer.html
You probably won't understand how to use it; I'm really posting the link
for others who find this thread.

If the process is malware, you're going to have to do more than just end
it. You'll have to hunt it down and then kill it and its brothers too.
