How do you keep the stencils visible on reopening?

Hello,

When I close the document I'm working on and reopen it, the stencils that I
was using and that were opened when I closed the doc. are no longer in the
Shapes dock at the left. I then have to reopen the stencils all over again
each time I open the document. Is there a way to have the stencils remain
there even if you close the document and reopen it?

Thanks

Hi Luciel,

You have to make sure the document is saves as workspace not as read-only.
You can check these options by clicking the dropdown menu attached to the
save button when you save the document

I tried this and it didn't work.... it was already saved as workspace and the
shapes still disappear.

Hi Diana,

maybe your shapes window is permanently off which shouldn't be

but saving as workspace should work because even if you would save the
stencil as read-only but the document as workspace the stencil will still be
visible

another thing could be that you have rightclicked on the shapes section and
clicked on
'close all stencils'
if you save the document after that the stencils won't reappear
the only stencil that can be retrieved then is the document stencil

I had this same problem, what I did what open a new file and copies the
working file into the new file and saved with a new name, now when I open the
file, the stencils open too.

Luciel,

I had the same problem, what I did was to open a new file and copy my
working file into the new file and save with a new name, now when I open the
