I have task in a project that must only be started on Mondays.... no matter
the predecessor finish date. How accomodated that constraint?

Hello Join,

Is the task longer than 1 day in duration? If not you can simply
create a new calendar (Tools > Change working time, New). Set all
days except Monday as non-working. See FAQ #5 at

http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

for details on changing the calendar.

Assign the calendar to the task and the task will be scheduled only
for Mondays.

If the task's duration is longer than one day -- so it needs to only
*start* on Mondays but can then carrying on through other days --
the answer is slightly different.

Insert a 1 minute duration task in between the task and its
predecessor. Link the tasks in FS relationships. Create a calendar
with the only working time as one minute before the start of the
working day on Monday. Assign the 1 minute calendar to the 1 minute
task. Because the 1 minute predecessor task can only be scheduled
to Monday, the successor will be scheduled to start only on Mondays.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
