How to Archive e-mail?

i wonder how do we archive our old email & also how to
save and back email on the local drive in order for us to
have more room on our exchange server?

Autoarchive in Outlook will archive to PST files - but you won't really be
saving space, as the data will take up more space in the PST file than it
did on the Exchange server, and if you store your PSTs on the network so
they get included in backup, you're not saving anything at all.

Sometimes just getting rid of attachments (extracting to disk) is a good
compromise.
