how to create "print this page" button

I'm making a pdf file and want to create a clickable button on a single
page - to make printing it out simple for the person getting it. Where do I
find the info to do this?

I'm creating the document with publisher and then printing it to pdf.. not
creating the document with Acrobat.. I would have to create the "print this
page" element in publisher..

Hmmmm, why can't you simply click the
Print button on the Adobe Reader toolbar?

What program are you using to convert your .pub to a .pdf? If it's something
like PrimoPDF, can't be done. You need Acrobat to add "bells and whistles"
to your .pdf file.

I thought the same thing but some people like a single button. Personal
preference.

I'm using Adobe Acrobat Pro to convert to pdf. I'll look there for the info
then and thanks for the quick replies!

You are creating the PDF document with some piece of PDF software, from your
Publisher file.

Because you are printing to a PDF file, no interactive elements are
transferred - what's the point in transferring animations and active
clickable elements to a printer? No printer can print animations or
hyperlinks - not yet, anyway.

You would have to use Acrobat or another PDF editing application to add
hyperlinks and other active functionality. The only bit you would create in
Publisher is the image of the button.

However, I really can't see why you would need a "Print this page button".
For a completely new user, it would be easier and more effective to show
them how to use the software properly than to try and make it easy for them.
And for the majority of computer users (even new ones) it is easier to find
the "Print" button on the toolbar than it is to use a print button on a
document (and that's without adding the fact that the "Print" button would
then appear on the printed page, which would not look particularly nice).

That's my problem...I'm too easy to please )

By the time my wife has all the peelings off of
her tomatoes and the stems off of her green
beans I'm already finished eating and sitting
in the car.
