I have inserted a CorelDraw illustration into a brochure I am doing in
Publisher. The illustration prints beautifully from CorelDraw and from Adobe
InDesign. But, my client needs it in Publisher. When I print from Publisher
the lines, which are all 1 pt in my ilustration, come out in various point
sizes, making it look very splotchy.

I am using Publisher Version 3, CorelDraw Version 9, and an HP Deskjet
970Cxi printer.

Has anyone had this problem before? If so, is there a solution to it?

Are you transferring the image in the .cdr format? That maybe the problem. Do a
"paste special" and select .wmf or .emf. Or save the illustration as a .wmf or
..emf.
Open Photo-Paint and drag the illustration over, save as a .png. Does it print
okay?

You can ungroup the image in Publisher, select a line and rework the line
weight.

I think you mean Publisher 2003, version 3 was Publisher 95.

I saved the .cdr file to a .emf file and did a paste special into Publisher.
Almost every line printed properly, and I think I can go back into the .cdr
file to change the ones that didn't. But, the Publisher file now prints
about 98% correctly, which is a lot closer to the way it should be than ever
before.

I couldn't get Photo Paint to save the file as a .png, so that didn't work.

Thank you so much for your suggestions and for your prompt reply to my query.

Your name looks familiar. Did you ever work for M.W. Kellogg?

No, never worked for Kellogg. I have been to Atlanta.

Glad you worked out your problem and thanks for posting back. It is appreciated.
