how to stop document from being edited when received as attachmen

When I attempt to send a newletter as an attachment to others. When opened,
the receiver is also able to edit and change the document, how can I stop
this from happening. I have never had this happen before

Export as a PDF? Try PrimoPDF - www.primopdf.com

You've led a sheltered life. If you send someone a .pub file, and they have
the appropriate version of Publisher, they are able to edit it. If they
don't, they're unable to view it.

Ed,

Oh, but I can open and edit a pdf file also! Well, some of them. A pdf
from PhotoShop is more difficult as it tends to be an image.

ANYTHING can be edited. Just takes enough effort.

If it's just one page, and it's to be read, not edited, 'Save As' and save
it as a jpeg, or Enhanced Metafile, then send the image, not the file. Of
course, you could do it to multiple pages...
