I cant open any word files

I was deleting some things off of my computer and now I cant open any word
files.
I looked at the hep menu, but when I try to do what it tells me to, I still
get an error message.I need to be able to open my saved files.I use Microsoft
office 2003. I need to install whatever it was that I deleted.
