I don't want to see completed tasks

I'd like to retain my completed tasks somewhere but not see them all the
time. How do I do that? Also, what does it mean to mark a task as "private."
How's it hidden, from whom?

What version of Outlook are you using?

You can hide completed tasks by changing your view to only show tasks that
don't show completed tasks. (View | Current View)

Setting a task as private means that only people with Owner privileges on
the folder can view them, if I recall correctly.
