I downloaded Outlook and it worked for a day. Now no new mail

I downloaded Outlook 4 days ago. the first night all my email messages came
through. The next day I logged on and nothing new. It has been like this for
3 days now and I don't know what to do. When I check my bellsouth account
there are tons of new messages. Please help if you know what's wrong. Thank
you!!
