Importing File

HUGE NEED OF HELP!!! PLEASE!! There is a folder
(named "Contacts") that has over 700 contacts listed that
is at risk here!! Its not lost, I just cannot get to it.
This contact list was in Microsoft Outlook '97. Somehow
through messing with the options selection, the folder
will not open now. When I try to open it, a pop-up says
CANNOT OPEN INFORMATION STORE! Also, if I check the
properties of the file I believe it says its an (.OFT)
file; whatever that is. And in going through the HELP
section, I thought I needed to just "import" the file but
the instructions dont match the version, there is no
import/export button under 'FILE'. So in all I just have
to get access to this Contact folder or get the
Information Store opened. PLEASE HELP!! Im screwed if this
is lost!!!!! Please give me a number to call or something.

You cannot access it if it's on a CD, due to the read-only attribute of the file.

If it's been transferred to the HDD, remove the read-only attribute.
