Inserting Images from File

Using WinXP-Pro, Word 2002. How can I get the "Insert Picture" box to open
in List format each time?
In Win98, Word 97 the box opened at the last file I had used and always
remembered to stay in list rather than icons.

Hi Patti,

For Word 2002 (Office XP) you can either
update to Office XP Service Pack 3 from
http://officeupdate.com or usea macro to
have the Insert=>Picture dialog view choice 'stick'

Service Pack 3 for Office XP replaces the hotfix listed in the

Thanks very much, after much head scratching, figured out the macro
instructions. Problem solved. Super people on this newsgroup.
