When I installed Office 2003, I now cannot open my prior Word documents. I
get the message "Word cannot open this document template"
(C:\ProgramFiles\...\PDFmaker.dot). When I press "ok" then the message comes
up "Word cannot open this document template (C:\startup\TbRun97.dot).
Therefore, I can't open any of my prior Word documents (I was using Windows
XP Professional). In addition, if someone sends me an e-mail with a Word
2003 document, I can't open that either. Any suggestions?

TBRun97.dot is from an older version of TextBridge optical
character recognition software that is not compatible with Office
2003. You should move the file out of your Word or Office
startup folder.

PDFMaker.dot is from Adobe Acrobat, and depending on which
version of Acrobat is installed on your computer, it may not be
compatible with Office 2003 either. Get the latest updates from
the Adobe website for your version of Acrobat. If that doesn't
help, then move the .dot file out of your Word or Office startup
folder.
