IS MICROSOFT WORD COMPATABLE TO WINDOWS WORDPAD

I need to download microsoft word to my dad's dell computer. His computer is
only equipped with a microsoft word pad. Any suggestions as what to
download to his computer

There are no legal downloads of Microsoft Word. If you want a legal
compatible program, then try Open Office
http://www.openoffice.org/dev_docs/source/1.0.3/ or get your hand in your
dad's pocket and buy a copy of Word, for which the cheapest route is to buy
the Works Suite.

If what you meant was that you need to save from your copy of Word in a file
format that can be opened in WordPad on your father's computer, try saving
as Word 6.0/95 or RTF.
