Is office 97 incompatible with windows 2000 professional

I had many problems with office 97, when I try write or combine values,
office just crash and I lost my work, always return me an error form memory,
is anybody has a solution

Office 97 will install and run correctly on Windows 2000. What
problems are you encountering specifically?

The problems are when I tried to combine functions in Excel, or combine a
worksheet in Word, Those programs give an memory error and then will close,
and of course I lost my work......

I already install SR1 and SR2, and Windows Professional with SP4, Thanks for
your help....

"Combine functions in Excel, or combine a worksheet in Word" is a
little vague. Do you mean you were trying to embed an Excel workbook
in a Word document?

What commands did you use to 'combine' and what are the Excel
functions?

What operating system was on the PC before Windows 2000? If it was one
of the DOS varieties and you did an "upgrade install" that is likely the
problem.
