Issues with Access 2000 and Access 2003 on same machine?

I have several clients who's databases are still in Access 2000 and
several who are in Access 2003. I have both on my development
computer. I have had this setup for a long long time. Recently
though, my 2000 MDE's are sometimes not runnable on the client
computers. There seems to be some sort of corruption in them. They
will get an error saying "Microft Access for Windows has encountered a
problem and needs to close...." It then shuts down the app. If they
make a new mde it works fine.

It seems to have something to do with Access 2003 being on my computer
but I can't verify that.

Any known issues with these two programs on the same computer? Any
fixes? It is tedious to have to make the mde on a different
computer. This had worked for a long time but all of a sudden it is
causing issues. Can't think of anything in particular that has
changed on my computer but there could be something.

If I do a re-install of Access 2000 and don't run Access 2003, it
seems to be ok but the second I do something in Access 2003 I seem to
have issue.

Any guidance is appreciated.

I found it more reliable to use Microsoft's free Virtual PC software to keep
separate environments for older software versions. You can create a virtual
machine with your client's configuration, and just keep the current software
in your "real" computer.
