Limiting Resource Usage View to a Specicf project on Project Svr

R

Rick Strong

I'm the Project Server Admin for our company. When I review Resource Usage
on my cptr. it only displays the task the resources are assigned to for that
project (2003). When other users look at Resource Usage their view shows all
tasks on all projects their resources have been assigned to.

Ideally I would like to be able to look as Resource Usage from both a
project specific level (to aid project leveling) and from a portfolio
perspective (to better allocate all resources within the company)

Thanks in advance for any thought or help.

Launch Microsoft Project Professional. In the Project Server Accounts
dialog, select the "Load summary resource assignments" option and then click
the Connect button. If you do not see the Project Server Accounts dialog
when you launch Microsoft Project Professional, then do the following:

1. In Microsoft Project Professional, click Tools - Enterprise Options -
Microsoft Office Project Server Accounts
2. Select the "Manually control connection state" option
3. Click OK
4. Exit and then relaunch Microsoft Project Professional

Also, in the future, please post your Project Server questions to the
microsoft.public.project.server newsgroup, as this newsgroup is devoted to
the Microsoft Project desktop application only. Hope this helps.

Dale,
Your solution works like a charm. Thanks for the help and in the future I
will make sure I post to Project Server newsgroup.

Thanks again,

Rick
