links keep changing to local drive

I have had several instances of my links being changed to refer to my hard
drive not the servers directory structure. What am I doing wrong?

Not sure. What happens is when I upload everything to the web and try to
run it some of my links say the file is on my C: drive. it is not that was
when I wrote the program because I don't call out the drive. This works if I
am checking it out but when someone else access the web site it come up with
a file not found.example I use the link "index.htm" but when it gets
uploaded, the link is
C:\ myFPdirectory\my web\index.htm

In your local web use View Reports Problems Broken Links

PS
For disc based webs FP is best at maintaining relative links correctly if you always create your root web in a top level folder w/o
spaces in the folder name as in C:\MyFPweb1\
Publish C:\ myFPdirectory\my web to say C:\MyFPweb1\, correct any broken links and then publish to your host (you can open the old
web in FP and delete it when done)
