lost product ID number

The product ID number for my Microsoft Word 2002 edition
was lost, and I cannot get any help from Microsoft
because this number is needed when you call or use online
support. Where can I find the number for my product, or
is there a universal code I can use for it? Please help
as soon as possible, because the school year is
approaching and I need word for my schoolwork. Thank You.

Hi Jason,

If you have a boxed retail copy of Microsoft Word or Office you can use the
phone numbers at http://microsoft.com/worldwide (800-360-7561 in the u.s.)
To get a replacement key. If it was pre-installed on the PC when it was
purchased, it's an oem copy of the software and you will have to contact the
pc supplier for a replacement.

Please post any further questions or followup to the newsgroups for the
benefit of others who may be interested. Unsolicited questions forwarded
directly to me will only be answered on a consulting basis.

Hope this helps

Help|About. You will find it listed in the About box. Also, I forget
the web address, but do a Google search for MagicJellybean Keyfinder.
It will tell you both the Windows key and the Office key.
