Mail moved to "Sent" folder disappeared

I downloaded sent mail from another server but when I tried to move it into
my Outlook "Sent" folder it just disappeared. Why? Where did it go? Is there
any way to retrieve it?

You first: Outlook version? Account type? How did you "move" it?
